Hand Off
Amanda Tressler, who is growing the wiki at YARcce.com, is seen here getting a hand off from Ed Yarrish.
Jean Simonnet and Ed Yarrish met on Wednesday evening July 8th with Dr Guido Pez on the campus of Muhlenberg College, where Jean has been entrepreneur in residence since 2008.
They discussed Dr Pez’s research, and patent applications, to use a liquid organic hydrocarbon, DBT, to store hydrogen generated from renewable sources. And, then to run the DBT through a fuel cell and generate electricity. DBT essentially becomes a liquid battery that can store and transport electricity created by solar and wind.
Dr Pez retired as Chief Research Scientist at Air Products and Chemicals, and was American Chemical Society Chemist of the Year. He holds some 40 patents.
