Celebrating Accomplishments

Julie Ambrose posted this on www.yarcce.net our YARcce community site.
Hi All – In our last meeting or two we’ve talked about how to increase our numbers and accelerate our impact by bringing ideas out of the lab and into the world. It occurs to me that while things might feel slow, we’ve actually had a slew of wins in one short year – consider that YARcce has… hosted regular meet-ups and meetings, engaged folks from Australia, Argentina, UK, Costa Rica, Canada, France, Italy, Iran as well as MT, MO, VA, PA, and other states. Members completed a study group on Blockchain technologies and many of us tested Bright ID. Personally, I was inspired by the group and completed the IBM Blockchain Essentials V2 course online. We also collaborate using Google docs, email and other tools.

We consulted attorneys and had presentations on how best to form, gaining advice from someone in Vermont and becoming Incorporated in Wyoming. We have created 4 online venues to post and share information, and populated them with numerous original works ranging from articles and news updates to videos and infographics. We developed a logo with input from a full committee – some of whom joined for just that project – which is fine. We’ve created so much that we had to launch a project to log, assess, rein it in and build an intentional structure for our work! We’ve had a lot of touch points and training sessions – with experts on Artificial Intelligence, Relationship Building, Trust Building and other topics. We have accelerated or supported Energy 18H, LifeAire, and Guido’s project at Lehigh. We had an 80th Birthday Party!

We have discussed organizational structures, governance, payments, memberships and benefits and are evolving our thinking and activities as our collective experience shapes our vision and our thinking. We have also grown from a group of Ed Yarrish associates and one-offs to a team of colleagues. We have formed Groups that work and Topics to read and discuss ideas.

All this to say – a LOT has happened this year and there is much to be celebrated here. I’m sure I’ve missed a bunch of things that some of you have been involved with and/or are proud of – what would YOU like to add to this post about YARcce Celebrations? Please add yours.

Making the Invisible Visable

It has been a while since this blog site has been used to communicate to the YARcce community and others.

Derek Reynoso had created the blog format, and was maintaining it for a number of months. Unfortunately for the YARcce community Derek needed to move on to other things. We now have some catching up to do.

Watch as we begin to post a number of short items to update you on what’s been going on, and to “make the invisible visible“.
